Job Summary:

The Inventory Specialist plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the warehouse inventory to support production, customer service, and operational efficiency. This role encompasses responsibilities for inventory accuracy, planning and purchasing materials, and maintaining compliance with organizational and industry standards. The Inventory Specialist will ensure smooth operations by collaborating across departments and proactively addressing inventory and material needs.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Wage: $22.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Lead the monthly cycle count program, maintaining and distributing accurate inventory sheets.
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies in the ERP system (Acumatica) and report findings to the Materials Manager.
  • Ensure accurate updates for incoming and outgoing materials in Acumatica and customer-owned inventory sheets.

Planning and Purchasing:

  • Forecast material requirements for production by collaborating with Production Team leads across facilities.
  • Plan and create purchase orders, entering them into Acumatica, and track order confirmations to ensure timely delivery.
  • Proactively manage inventory levels to avoid shortages and alert Customer Service of material constraints.
  • Review and monitor material availability for production orders.

Operational Tasks:

  • Plan and purchase indirect materials for production/warehouse use.
  • Perform hands-on physical inventory tasks, including lifting, using ladders, and walking through the warehouse.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Warehouse, Production, and Customer Service teams to align inventory practices with organizational goals.
  • Escalate and resolve inventory-related issues per department policies.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and ERP systems, preferably Acumatica.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in various warehouse environments.
  • Forklift certification is preferred but not required.
