Job Summary:

As a Support Coordinator II, you will help people with disabilities to perform their job successfully within a production environment. You will help people with disabilities grow their skills and gain independence to the greatest extent possible.

  • Wage: $18.50 per hour
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30AM to 3:30PM

How will you make a difference?

As part of team, you will help people with disabilities in the following areas:

  • Provide case management so that our services are initiated, provided, evaluated and communicated effectively both internally & externally.
  • Enter notes, attendance and work records daily into our computer system.
  • Provide training and instruction within a production environment.
  • Supervise work activities so that they are taking place in a safe manner. Encourage independence, integration, and inclusion are occurring within the work activity.
  • Maintain a calm, neutral tone, and emotion level when assisting people who are expressing heightened communication styles.
  • Implement lessons and activities that provide opportunities to learn and practice job skills.

What will you bring to Opportunity Partners?

To qualify as a Designated Coordinator, you must meet one of the following criteria:

  • You must Preferred: a 4-year degree in Human Services or a related field plus at least on year of experience in the human service industry;
  • A baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
  • An associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
  • A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
  • A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities and four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications listed above.
