Job Summary:

The Donor Database Specialist is a key member of the Advancement team, supporting Opportunity Partners' fundraising operations. This role is responsible for accurate and timely entry, processing of charitable contributions, and generating donor acknowledgments. The specialist maintains up-to-date donor in Bloomerang and serves as a point of contact for donor inquiries via phone and email. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong data management skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. The Donor Database Specialist reports to the Donor Relations & Events Manager.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with the option to work remotely on Wednesdays & Fridays. Please submit a cover letter expressing your interest in the position.
  • Wage: $24.00 to $27.00 per hour based upon years of experience
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

How will you make a difference?

Gift Processing & Acknowledgment

  1. Accurately enter and process donations and other financial contributions into the donor management system (Bloomerang) within 72 hours of receipt
  2. Ensure meticulous attention to detail to maintain accurate and consistent donor records
  3. Collaborate closely with Development team members to ensure timely and efficient gift processing and acknowledgment and to personalize communication for key donors


Database Maintenance & Systems Support

  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor and gift records, including contact information, communication preferences, donor comments and notes; perform data clean up as necessary
  2. Create queries, exports and customized reports for development andcommunications purposes
  3. Create new donor records as needed, and research and update donor informationsuch as email, telephone, spouse names, relationships, etc.
  4. Serve as a contact person for other development staff on the use of Bloomerang.
  5. Produce weekly gift and pledge reports for Development Team analysis
  6. Assist with developing and documenting business practices to continually improve
  7. Development operations processes and procedures
  8. Maintain accurate records in Bloomerang Volunteer Database

Donor Relations Support

  1. Provide timely response to all inquiries from donors regarding giving histories, gift receipts, and other related to financial contributions
  2. Provide outstanding customer service to all internal and external customers
  3. Develop and generate regular reports on donor metrics, campaign results, giving trends, and other key performance indicators to inform development strategy
  4. Analyze donor data to identify trends, assess retention rates, segment donors, and support strategies for donor acquisition, engagement and retention
  5. Ability to work with flexibility, efficiency, and enthusiasm, both individually and as part of a team
  6. Perform other duties as assigned to meet advancement goals and objectives

What you will bring to Opportunity Partners

  • Minimum of two years of database maintenance & data-entry with database management system similar to Bloomerang or Raiser's Edge.
  • High school degree/GED is required; AAS in data analytics or database management is preferred
  • Organization and Detail-Oriented: Experience managing multiple tasks and projects and maintaining accurate records with strong attention to detail.
  • Data Entry and Reporting: Strong data entry skills, proficiency in creating and analyzing reports.
  • Some local travel maybe required for event-related tasks & volunteer engagement efforts. Driver's license and reliable transportation (personal vehicle) required.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 pounds.
