Job Summary:

Positive Supports focus on creating supportive environments and teaching practical skills through evidence-based strategies. We work closely with each individual, their staff, and their family to ensure that supports are consistent, respectful, and person-centered.

The Positive Support Analyst works under the supervision of a Positive Support Professional completing functional behavior assessments and overseeing plan implementation. The Positive Supports Analyst helps monitor positive support strategies for individuals receiving disability services. This role analyzes behavioral data, supports person-centered planning, ensures compliance with Minnesota’s Positive Supports Rule (245D/9544), and partners with teams to improve outcomes and reduce restrictive interventions. The Positive Support Analyst collaborates with Behavioral Professionals, Program Managers, and Direct Support staff to monitor progress, identify trends, improve service plans, and ensure interventions are ethical, effective, and aligned with organizational values.

  • Salary: $50,000 to $55,000 annual salary based upon qualifications
  • Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

How will you make a difference?

As part of our team, you will:

Direct Support & Behavior Analysis

  1. Work directly with persons served.
  2. Analyze behavioral data, incident reports, and environmental factors to identify patterns and root causes.
  3. Conduct interviews and observations for development of FBA’s.
  4. Construct and monitor Positive Support Strategies and Support Plans.
  5. Provide recommendations to improve skill-building, communication support, and sensory or environmental modifications.

Data Tracking & Reporting

  1. Maintain accurate records of behavioral outcomes, progress toward goals, and quality metrics.
  2. Conduct quarterly reviews and write reports for regulatory compliance.
  3. Maintain records and submit billing in a timely fashion.
  4. Use software systems (myEvolv, Excel, Word) to produce clear, actionable reports.
  5. Report directly to PSP and/or Director of Positive Supports.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  1. Ensure compliance with Minnesota’s Positive Supports Rule (MN Statutes 245D & 9544), organizational policies, and licensing standards.
  2. Monitor documentation for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with Person-Centered Planning requirements.
  3. Participate in internal audits and corrective action plans.
  4. Support staff training related to PBS, de-escalation, and trauma-informed care.

Collaboration & Support

  1. Partner with other Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), managers, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members.
  2. Attend team meetings, clinical reviews, and planning sessions.
  3. Support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) by interpreting data and offering practical strategies for daily implementation.
  4. Promote a culture of respect, dignity, and meaningful community inclusion for all individuals served.

What will you bring to Opportunity Partners?

  • Bachelor’s, Masters or PhD in psychology, behavioral services, nursing, human services, social work.
  • At least two years of supervised experience in social services.
  • Experience with behavioral supports, disability services, and data analysis.
  • Understanding of Positive Behavioral Supports and MN 245D standards.
  • Strong communication, organization, and data interpretation skills.
  • Experience with myEvolv, Excel, or data reporting tools preferred.
